DUBAI, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a telephone conversation with his Kuwaiti counterpart to confirm his visit to Kuwait "in the coming days," Al Arabiya reported Wednesday.
Pompeo has visited several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and Iraq.
A spokesman for the U.S. State Department said on Monday that Pompeo would return to the United States to attend a family member's funeral.
He returned to the United States after meetings in Oman instead of visiting Kuwait and attended the funeral.
